His Eminence Rev. Dr. Feliciano de Carvalho Loa – CEO
WE CHANGE THE WORLD AGAINST POVERTY!
Biography of His Eminence Dr. Feliciano Loa
Portrait and Personal Vision
His Eminence Reverend Dr. Feliciano de Carvalho Loa began his education at Escola Primária de Maquela do Zombo. He later attended the Evangelical Missionary College in Cangola and pursued Biology at a high school in Luanda. Alongside his studies in Evangelical Theology at the College for Theological Seminaries, he developed strong political activism. At just 19 years old, he moved to Brazzaville, Republic of Congo, to join the MPLA in the fight for Angola’s liberation from Portuguese colonial rule.
Reverend Dr. Feliciano Carvalho Loa was born on October 2, 1956, in a Portuguese internment camp, “Colonato do Vale do Logo” in Bembe, Uige Province, Angola.
In 1985, Dr. Loa founded AFREUV e.V., an association dedicated to Afro-European understanding. Until 1991, it was known as “The Called Christian Community for Biblical Research and Teaching e.V.”. Since 1985, he has been actively supporting Africans and their families in the Hamburg region, particularly Portuguese-speaking communities.
Political and Social Engagement
Dr. Loa strongly believed that he could lead Angola’s reconciliation after the war. With the support of the church, which represents over 80% of voters, he believed he could win the Angolan elections. He sought support from national and international church leaders for his political endeavors, emphasizing the church’s need for state support to fund crucial social projects. Dr. Loa wanted the church to have a special financial status from the Angolan government after electoral victory. Despite Angola’s vast oil revenues, he believed these resources were not benefiting the population and aimed to change this through church-led initiatives.
During his studies, in 1985, Dr. Loa founded the CICAE (Angolan Intellectual Underground Commission Abroad). The MPLA became aware of CICAE in 1990, during one of his secret missions to Angola, where he was captured and imprisoned. Although his mission failed, after his release, he engaged in discussions with Angola’s then Minister of Internal Security, which led to CICAE becoming an official civilian intellectual commission for the MPLA abroad.
Presidential Aspirations
Following the 2002 peace agreement, Dr. Loa believed it was time for true peace and democracy in Angola. CICAE transformed into a political party, and with international support, Dr. Loa decided to run for the Angolan presidency in the 2008/09 elections, aiming to establish a pure democratic system that would bring political, economic, and social justice to the country.
Firm in his political beliefs, Dr. Loa advocated for democracy, freedom, free speech, and tolerance in Angola. He saw himself as a “Father of the Nation”, leading Angola from chaos to peace and prosperity.
Recognizing the devastation caused by 30 years of war, Dr. Loa knew that healing the population would take time. His vision emphasized national reconciliation across all ethnic groups, particularly between former UNITA, MPLA, and FLEC supporters. With over 1.5 million Angolans lost to war, he sought to rebuild national unity through strong leadership and hope.
Dr. Loa’s dream was to:
- Ensure peace and co-existence worldwide.
- Create jobs for the population, returning the Land to the true owners and transforming Angola into one of the Powerful Economies in the World.
- Provide housing, food, healthcare, and education for impoverished communities.
- Build roads, water supply systems, and energy infrastructure.
- Revitalize agriculture to ensure food security.
- Clear landmines and restore war-affected areas.
- End of Political Career and Commitment to Humanitarian Work
From 2003 to 2012, Dr. Loa attempted to run for the Angolan presidency. However, due to a mysterious political event in 2012, he was unable to participate in the elections. Consequently, he officially ended his political career and devoted himself entirely to his spiritual mission and global fight against poverty through DIASPORA UNIDA.
The Birth of AFREUV & DIASPORA UNIDA e.V.
In August 2014, Dr. Loa launched AFREUV & DIASPORA UNIDA e.V. – MEMBERS DONATION CROWDFINANCING PLATFORM. For him, this was a dream come true. He could finally apply his faith-based financial strategies to fight global poverty, focusing on self-help through solidarity.
A visionary spiritual leader, Dr. Loa advocates for world peace and interfaith harmony. He supports both Christians and Muslims in need. He also appreciates how science has evolved, proving that a universal God of love exists beyond religious extremism.
Rev. Dr. Feliciano de Carvalho Loa thanks all who support his initiatives and participate in this project. May God bless you all!.
